Efficient Blackjack Guide

Blackjack originated in 1700, across numerous casinos in France where it was known as “vingt-et-un” or” 21″ in English. It wast Emperor Napoleon who enjoyed and played the game more than any other card game in the country. While the proper name of the game is still “21”, Blackjack was a term only introduced in the 1920s.

Blackjack happens to be one of the most popular casino games in the world and, perhaps, is one of the most interesting games that pits a player against a dealer, but not against other players. The game is played with, at times, multiple decks of cards. The goal is to beat the casino’s dealer that can be accomplished in a number of different ways that includes:

  • Try to get 21 points on your initial two cards that are what is called “blackjack”, but without a dealer “blackjack.”
  • Get to the final score that is higher that your dealer without ever exceeding 21.
  • Allow the dealer to go on drawing more cards until the value of his or her hand is well over 21.

Though playing blackjack has been associated with a number of other card games that are more about luck and less about skill, this game is the other way around. With the right strategy and skill level, beating a dealer is possible, especially while playing blackjack online.

How to Play Blackjack

There are quite a few variations of Blackjack, but the differences are minor to say the least. Below we look at them:

Double exposure: There are 8 decks used and the odds paid 1:1. The difference here is that both the dealer’s cards like the players’ cards are dealt face up. The dealer can ‘hit’ on 17.

European Blackjack Gold Series: There are 2 decks used and the odds are stacked at 3:2. Opting for the insurance pays 2:1, all other wins are 1:1. The dealer must ‘stand’ on a Soft 17.

High Steak European Blackjack: 2 decks are used, the insurance pays 2:1 and Blackjack pays 3:2. All other wins pay 1:1. The dealer must stand on ALL 17s.

Blackjack is one of the most exciting games to play, and it’s easy to master. However, the one thing newbie players always need to keep in mind, is to place small bets and stick to the strategy in this guide. Playing online is also better for the beginners, because they can learn how to play blackjack and then start playing with real money. This significantly improves their chances of winning.
